Reaching out about pricing, filling in a web form, or putting a date on the calendar with us means these conditions take effect, on top of — never replacing — the specific dollar figure you’re given.
Pricing splits four ways
| Category | Pricing approach |
|---|---|
| Household relocation | Fixed figure, settled ahead of the load-in |
| Labor-only booking | Metered by the clock instead of a flat sum |
| Interstate relocation | Fixed figure, settled before wheels turn |
| Storage rental | Charged monthly, scaled to unit size |
One carrier, start to finish
Lightyear Moving’s Texas registration and interstate authority both stay current, and your shipment is never reassigned to another trucking outfit partway through.
Changes after your date is set
| Situation | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Your household turns out to hold more than originally listed | Pricing gets adjusted to match the real inventory on-site |
| You need a particular date guaranteed | A deposit might be asked for |
| A heat advisory or dust storm disrupts the region | Rescheduling happens free of charge |
Coverage if something breaks in transit
A standard protection level applies automatically: $0.60 for every pound the affected item weighs. Prefer a higher tier? Full-value protection is available too, priced near 1-3% of what you told us the shipment is worth, and it has to be arranged before the truck gets loaded. A $1,000,000 cargo policy sits behind both tiers, and Texas gives you a nine-month window after your items arrive to submit a claim. For how we handle your submitted information: our privacy policy.
